    Please mark your calendars to attend the upcoming Mississippi Communications Technology Alliance meeting Thursday, January 10th 2019, 9:30 am - 1:00 pm.

    The meeting will be held at the University Medical Center in Jackson. Event registration, details and directions can be found below.

    TIME:

    9:30 - 10:00 Registration and coffee

    10:00-11:30 Round Table Discussion (Discussion of upcoming meetings and possible events for the coming year)

    11:30-12:00 Lunch

    11:30-12:30 Open Forum

    12:30-1:00 Board Meeting

    Registration Fee: only $5 (Registration fee includes lunch)

    PLACE: UMMC Student Union, Jackson, MS

    MEETING DIRECTIONS:

    From I-55 north or south, take Lakeland Drive West exit. Take a left at the third light (UMC-Lakeland Entrance). Student Union is on the right.

    The Student Union building is the building on your right as you proceed down the street. When you get to the stop sign at the end of the street, take a left then enter the parking lot through the attendant entry on your left. Parking passes will be handed out at the meeting. Meetings are held on the second floor conference rooms. There will be a sign designating which room is assigned to MCTA outside the door.

    We would like to encourage everyone to "BRING A FRIEND" that you feel might be interested in MCTA in hopes that we can branch out and grow our membership.

    The meeting will be held at the Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, MS. All attendees must have security clearance prior to attending the meeting.

    Meeting Information for 9-12-2019

    We would like to encourage everyone to come and tour Mississippi's first automotive production plant. Since 2003, Canton Nissan has created thousands of jobs in Mississippi and has inspired other auto companies and suppliers to set up operations in the state.

    Please mark your calendars to attend the upcoming Mississippi Communications Technology Alliance meeting Thursday, September 12th at 10 am.

    The meeting will be held at the Nissan Plant in Canton MS.

    Date: September 12, 2019

    TIME: Arrive in the lobby at 9:30

    TOUR TIME: 10:00 am - 11:00 am

    PLACE: Nissan Plant, Canton MS.

    REGISTRATION: Registration is free.

    Due to time constraints, this meeting will be a tour only and lunch will not be provided.

    It is very important that you read the information below to ensure safety.

    Failure to follow any of the rules could prevent you from touring the facility.

    • DRESS CODE: Participants not complying with the dress code will be asked to wait in the front lobby. If a minor is improperly dressed, a chaperone or teacher must remain with them in the lobby. Everyone must wear:

      • Long Pants
      • Shirts with at least a 4-inch sleeve
      • Closed-toe shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, Crocs, etc.)
    • Adults over the age of 18 must show a valid picture I.D.
    • Cellphones and cameras are not allowed inside the building. Please leave them inside your vehicle.
    • Guests must be 10 years of age or older.
    • We have limited seating on the tour, and therefore may be unable to accommodate any additional guests that exceed your original reservation.
    • Tours are approximately 1 hour in length. Please arrive in the lobby at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour. Unfortunately, late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
    • Due to safety concerns, portable oxygen tanks are not permitted inside the plant.
    • Please leave all backpacks or large totes in your vehicle.

    DIRECTIONS:

    Exit I-55 at Exit 118 and drive east on Nissan Parkway.

    Turn right onto Nissan Drive and follow to front of plant where building is red and a flag pole with the American flag is located.

    Turn left into parking lot and pull up to front door. Press the button on the call box located to the left of the building entrance to speak with the receptionist.

    DIRECTIONS

    Address: 262 Saddlewood Lane, Clinton, MS 39056. Sometimes you have to put Saddlewood Drive instead of Lane into your GPS type device.

    Saddlewood is off of Northside Drive. Coming from the North part of Jackson, It is easier to take I-220 going west. Take the Medgar Evers exit and turn right on Northside Drive. Saddlewood Lane is the second street on the left when you go through the traffic light at Flag Chapel.

    From the other directions (I-20 East or West), you would want to take the Springridge road exit (exit 36) and go North toward Mississippi College. Springridge changes to Clinton Parkway when you cross Hwy 80. Turn Right on Northside drive and continue East. When Northside goes from 2 lane to 4 lane, Saddlewwod will be the next street on the right. Sallewood Lane is the third house on the left. The house has a gravel drive.
